Ok, so in order for me to make this post I’m going to have to admit a guilty pleasure.
I was watching Janice Dickinson’s TV show last night and in part of it her agency took part in a PETA protest.
PETA showed them a 3 to 5 minute movie about how cruelly animals bred for fur are treated. One model was chastised and harassed for deciding to not participate in the protest.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I prefer animals to people. I donate to the groups that actually help animals and I cry like a little baby if I see animals being treated poorly.

HOWEVER… these are reasons that I think PETA is a joke and there is no way in hell I’d ever give them a penny or a minute of my time. I’m sick of them shoving their holier than thou crap down my throat.

According to the their own records, PETA employees killed more than 97 percent of the flesh-and-blood creatures in their care that year.
This means 3% of the animals PETA gets their hands on survive.

From July 1998 through December 2006, PETA killed over 17,400 dogs, cats, and other “companion animals.” That’s more than five defenseless creatures every day. PETA has a walk-in freezer to store the dead bodies, and contracts with a Virginia Beach company to cremate them. 

Some animals are killed at PETA headquarters and stored in a giant walk-in freezer.Others are killed in roving death vans and tossed into dumpsters.

PETA is pro Breed Specific Legislation.

PETA uses violence and harassment to other humans to get their “points” across. They are radical activists and if they were protesting abortion you would call them wackos but since it’s animals everyone runs to support them.

THAT is why I don’t support PETA and why those stupid airhead models from JD’s agency shouldn’t make a decision based on a 3 minute PETA movie.
